When you attend SpeakOut’s renowned speaker training, you will learn how to craft your personal stories for sharing in schools, organizations, businesses, and more. As a volunteer speaker with SpeakOut, the nation's oldest GLBT speakers bureau, you will help build an atmosphere of understanding and acceptance of GLBT lives and experiences. The training is designed for anyone who wants to use public speaking as a tool for social change.

During the training, learn how to:

Craft your personal stories to promote understanding of GLBT people

Counter homo-bi-trans phobia using SpeakOut’s proven format

Engage audiences in dialogue and handle difficult questions

Novice and veteran speakers will learn and practice valuable skills, including:

Setting the right tone

Handling questions effectively

Dealing with difficult people

Overcoming fear

Working with your co-speaker
